In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Thats right I am completely in love with these shoes. I never ever bother to write reviews on anything but tonight after returning from my first run in the tri noose 7 I had to tell everybody about them. I am seriously considering buying another pair tomorrow just for a backup. I haven't ran in just over a month due to an infection and needing new shoes. I purchased these and they are worth every penny. I ran faster and longer than I ever have. My legs feel great and for the first time ever my shin splints didn't bother me at all. I would recommend these to anybody from beginner to avid runner.

I do a lot of outdoor running in the dark so I bought these shoes for the glow-in-the-dark feature. Not only do they make me more visible to motorists but they're very comfortable right out of the box, I didn't even have to break them in. In the week that I've owned them I've already run 20+ miles in them! The colors are awesome and I've gotten tons of compliments on them. I can't wait to run my first marathon in these shoes!

I love these shoes! The only problem is the size runs much smaller than my usual size for running shoes. I got a 7.5 and I usually wear a 6.5.
